An ode to my brother

You're a stranger in my home,
You seething showing me teeth.
I'm sorry, we haven't met before
But is this the first time we meet?

It seems that I have loved you before
With this committed eager heart,
I'm sure I've loved you and made a vow
To love you for all eternity as we are reborn.

I may have been your mother, or may be even your wife,
But now I tie you this sacred thread in good health and in strife.
There is no way our bond is uneternal
That just would not do; for as we are intertwined so is our holy life.

I would grasp the Earth in my fist for you,
Of course only if I could, but I promise what I can
To you: Love selfless and unconditional,
With me you never have to worry about being more of a man.
